Since then, five generations have continued this tradition, and almost each of them expanded the business with a new factory, and good reasons for doing so. A new generation...

In 1971 textile engineer Klaus Lippmann joined the business. With many new ideas and a deep personal commitment, he led the traditional craft business into the present. In 1982 they left the old workshop in Altenwerder and built the present-day factory with an operational area of over 14,000 square meters...

342 metres long | latest methods | Hamburg-Hausbruch

Three generations worked in Hamburg-Altenwerder, and the fourth generation with Klaus Lippmann built the present-day factory at the location Dubbenwinkel in Hamburg-Hausbruch. The new site enables production which combines tradition and passed-on expertise with the newest methods in rope making. Many of the ropes are still being driven out and beaten on the traditional rope walk, measuring 342 meters in length. In 2009, Lippmann Tauwerk (German for cordage) became Lippmann German Ropes...

150 braiding machines | 0,1-200 mm | leading

Today, the machinery in operation consists not only of numerous rope making machines and the ropewalk, but is complemented by braiding machines that permit the production of ropes from 0,1 to 160 mm in diameter. Modern impregnation and finishing processors complete the machinery. This makes Lippmann German Ropes one of the leading rope producers, with more than 10,000 clients in worldwide...
